1.1 engine and on... 20v Turbo?

The engine as you would expect, needs a little work. Well, a little is an undertstatement. At present it does run, however smells strongly of petrol, has a flat battery which doesn't hold charge, and smokes quite heavily, blue smoke. Luckily this only indicates its burning oil, mind you why do we care?

1.1 vw engine

In a word we don't, the Mk1 definetly needs a new engine, the question is what?

We are toying with a few ideas, namely the Civic Type R lump, 20V Turbo and the 16V GTE engines. The idea is to make the car look like a sheep in wolfs clothing, but have the power to humiliate almost every car it comes across, but as an addition we want a more unique conversion. There are already many VR6's and 1.8 16V Mark 1 Golf cars out there.

The search was on... till we found out Barry Juggins fromOxford sold us a structurally unsound car, as in the sub frames had been cut and seats welded in on mini subframes.

no comment...
